Anxiety / Phobia / Social Anxiety / OCD / Panic Disorder Support Groups

The April Center for Anxiety Attack Management offers 3 low-fee weekly therapy support groups focused on teaching you cognitive-behavioral techniques to reduce your anxiety - specifically, symptoms of general/phobia and social anxiety, OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), and Panic Disorder.

 

Monday Night Panic Disorder Support Group:

We offer this weekly group at The April Center for Anxiety Attack Management - Los Angeles office at 6:00 PM every Monday night.  The focus of this group is in teaching you CBT techniques to manage panic attacks and reduce your anxiety and fear of more attacks with the goal of total reduction.  

In order to create a safe environment, each group is limited to a maximum of 8 people with clear boundaries maintained to protect your confidentiality. Evaluation is required prior to joining to determine appropriateness of fit.

Tuesday Night OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) Support Group:

We offer this weekly group at The April Center for Anxiety Attack Management - Los Angeles office at 6:30 PM every Tuesday night.  The focus of this group is in teaching you CBT techniques to manage your OCD symptoms.  Discussions include your specific obsessions and compulsions that are currently interfering most with your daily life and functioning. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Assignments are based on Exposure and Response Prevention, the key treatment strategy in reducing compulsive behavior and anxiety caused by obsessions.  

In order to create a safe environment, each group is limited to a maximum of 8 people with clear boundaries maintained to protect your confidentiality. Evaluation is required prior to joining to determine appropriateness of fit.

Wednesday Night General/Phobia/Social Anxiety Support Group:

We offer this weekly group at The April Center for Anxiety Attack Management - Los Angeles office at 6:30 PM every Wednesday night.  The focus of this group is in teaching you CBT techniques to manage phobia, general and social anxiety.  This is a general, phobia and social anxiety group combined which means that some members struggle with phobias (ex. driving, flying, fear of being trapped with no escape), some members struggle with general anxiety and some struggle with social anxiety or a combination of all three.  

In order to create a safe environment, each group is limited to a maximum of 8 people with clear boundaries maintained to protect your confidentiality. Evaluation is required prior to joining to determine appropriateness of fit.

All of these groups have something powerful and unique to offer you. Not only do they provide direct practice towards reducing anxiety, but they also provide you with the validation and encouragement sometimes needed to make great gains!


Anxiety is not just internal (fear of what is going on inside of your body or your mind), it is also often interpersonal (fear of how others might perceive or respond to you). A large part of our mental health is based on the quality of our relationships and social connections.

Our groups can benefit you in a number of ways:
